ANTERION®, the company’s platform for optical biometry and IOL power calculation, is showcased at ESCRS in Amsterdam and at a Satellite Symposium also available virtually.
Heidelberg, Germany − ANTERION, the company’s imaging platform optimized for the anterior segment, combines high-resolution imaging, corneal tomography, optical biometry and IOL power calculation, and has enjoyed recent positive feedback, which will be presented at ESCRS.
“We are pleased to announce that ANTERION’s functionality has now been repeatedly validated by leading international clinicians,” said Steven Thomson, Clinical Director Anterior Segment at Heidelberg Engineering. “We look forward to Prof. Dr. Oliver Findl from Austria presenting the evidence on its measurement accuracy and precision. We are equally encouraged by the new levels of prediction accuracy in challenging eyes and also very grateful that Dr. Kjell G. Gundersen and Dr. Bjørn Gjerdrum from Norway will share their results alongside ideas for further enhancements.”
Thomson added that the company has also been working with Dr. Damien Gatinel and Dr. Alan Saad from France to ensure that ANTERION data combined with SCORE, a corneal ectasia risk analysis application, has the potential to set new standards when screening for corneal disease.
All these clinicians will present their findings at an Industry Satellite Symposium in Hall 11 on Friday, October 8 from 3:45-4:45 pm, which will be streamed on the ESCRS virtual platform too. It is entitled “ANTERION – Better Solutions by Accuracy” and includes the following sections:
- Prof. Dr. Oliver Findl, Hanusch Hospital, Vienna, Austria: “Validated precision and accuracy”
- Dr. Kjell G. Gundersen & Dr. Bjørn Gjerdrum, IFocus Eye Clinic, Haugesund, Norway: “Reproducible outcomes in difficult eyes”
- Dr. Damien Gatinel, Rothschild Foundation, Paris, France: “Screening for subclinical corneal ectasia with SCORE Analyzer”
“Our team looks forward to meeting our customers and collaborators in person after so many months of only virtual interaction,” said Krysten Williams, Head of Global Marketing and Education. “We hope that our multimodal approach to streamlining clinical workflow throughout the pandemic will continue to help clinicians as they tackle the patient backlog moving forward.”
In addition to the latest news on ANTERION, ESCRS attendees will be able to hear about new SPECTRALIS® features and related healthcare IT solutions such as HEYEX 2. SPECTRALIS, the multimodal imaging platform optimized for the posterior segment, now features new components that lead to powerful synergies and improved workflows.
Visitors are welcome to “UNCOVER MORE” in person at Booth B22.
