Article Review – Comparison of SD-OCT and SS-OCT in Glaucoma Diagnosis
Does swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) add value to measurements of inner retinal layers? A new study by Lee et al suggests that spectral domain OCT (SD-OCT) coupled with the active eye tracking technology of the SPECTRALIS platform is as good or better than an SS-OCT device for the detection of glaucomatous damage.
As OCT-based analysis improves, the SD-OCT SPECTRALIS with the Glaucoma Module Premium Edition is a valuable diagnostic tool for glaucoma and other optic neuropathies.
