Heidelberg Engineering has partnered with SaaS and AI companies to provide secure access to innovative ophthalmic apps. Get to know the app partners:
We have enhanced both fluid and GA monitoring through a partnership with RetInSight, a global pioneer in AI-based retinal image analysis and provider of reading center services. Through HEYEX 2 with Heidelberg AppWay, users can easily access RetInSight’s CE-certified GA Monitor and Fluid Monitor to improve patient outcomes and clinical efficiency.
GA Monitor is the first and only MDR CE-certified AI-based OCT imaging solution for identifying disease activity and therapeutic response in geographic atrophy in clinical routine. Making the invisible visible, by visualizing and quantifying PR degeneration and RPE loss.
Quantify and visualize fluid dynamics in nAMD with Fluid Monitor, an AI-based and MDR CE-certified medical OCT imaging software solution for clinical routine. Move from subjective to objective evaluation.
“RetInSight and Heidelberg Engineering share a strong common goal: Improving patient care by providing efficient and highly precise AI-powered software solutions for OCT imaging in clinical routine, clinical studies and research.” Said Corinna zur Bonsen-Thomas, CEO of RetInSight.
Further Apps
Reflectivity for HEYEX 2 offers a revolutionary glaucoma care tool, delivering detailed 3D optic nerve analysis and a solid risk assessment in an easy-to-interpret patient report, promising to significantly improve glaucoma management.
Now the CE-marked Altris AI OCT scan analysis that detects 70+ biomarkers and retinal pathologies, including early glaucoma is available through HEYEX 2 with Heidelberg AppWay. Automated quantitative analysis of biomarkers and disease progression make treatment results monitoring more efficient for eye care specialists.
Discover deepeye® TPS*, the future of therapy planning support for nAMD. Based on thousands of cases reviewed by experts, deepeye provides you with an AI report through HEYEX 2 with Heidelberg AppWay to help you streamline anti-VEGF treatment and personalize patient education.
We recently partnered with Eye2Gene™, a groundbreaking research project of the University College London Institute of Ophthalmology funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Moorfields Eye Charity, to develop a groundbreaking AI-based software to accelerate the genetic diagnosis of inherited retinal diseases, based on SPECTRALIS imaging and available through HEYEX 2 with Heidelberg Appway.
The project focuses on inherited retinal diseases and aims to provide clinicians with in-depth genetic insights: By analyzing retinal scans, clinicians may be able to identify the specific gene responsible for the inherited condition, leading to a more accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment for patients.
The GA Grader is an innovative tool that provides accurate AI-based automated analysis of geographic atrophy lesion size based on analysis of OCT imaging data natively integrated with HEYEX 2 with Heidelberg AppWay, developed by the AMD experts at the GRADE Reading Center. Longitudinal documentation with a graphical gradient plot greatly facilitates monitoring of natural history and opens the door for potential evaluation of treatment response.
Through HEYEX 2 with Heidelberg AppWay, we offer access to AI-based apps developed by RetinAI Medical AG, a Swiss company specialized in software solutions that accelerate clinical, research and pharmaceutical workflows, with a focus on retinal diseases.
RetinAI’s disease evaluation apps consist of a set of CE-marked AI models approved for clinical and research use only. These models include fluid and layer segmentation, macular biomarker detection, and GA progression prediction to support your diagnosis and research on nAMD, dAMD, DR/DME, CME & GA.
